Mitchell For President

I've been hearing and reading bits and pieces about the dearth of credible candidates in the upcoming election year for our neighbours South Of The 49th Parallel, and I thought I'd toss in my Canuckian two cents (which are finally worth two cents in the USofA as well):
Elect a Canadian to the Presidency of the United States!
And I have just the candidate: Canadian rock icon and certifiable nutcase Kim Mitchell.

I like his music anyway, thanks for introducing him to me. I live well below the 49th parallel. Thanks for not calling us all yankees, those of us south of the mason-dixon line might take offense at that :-).

Must be Kim Mitchell week in the Canadian blogosphere, eh. I'd vote for Peter Fredette as his VP - but Pete doesn't get enough airtime in this video. Unlike this one

Rick,

Did some of my rearin' as a child in Chattanooga Tennessee, so I remember that all y'all don't like to be confused with the less neighbourly Northern types!

Have some cornbread and grits for me, will ya? :)

Bill,

I've always been a big fan of Canada's Thin Man; I think I had as many of his albums as I did U2's back in the day! When you add his work with Max Webster (esp. Battlescar which they recorded as a double-band arrangement with Rush), it's quite a catalogue of great music.

Kim for President! C'mon, I can't hear all y'all... :)
