Art, Artistes, and a "G" Rating

"The Gospel pleads a message of Grace, yet most Christians live as though they are "G" people offended by an "R" world."It also appears that my eldest daughter Jo is following in her mother's footsteps in the area of photography (she won the Photography Award at her high school), as evidenced by this picture taken last week during our time at L'Abri Canada, where I got to read some great books, watch a DVD version Francis Schaeffer's classic How Then Shall We Live?, and get inspired to write the "Dingy & Musty" post below.

that's a great photo of your kids!
Glad to hear that you got out to Bowen! Congrats to your daughter Jo on winning the photo award.
Your son agrees with you.
Don't question my anonymousness...
If that was a word.
I am certainly nobody you know.
Not that it's the point of your post, but I'm under 25 and I read your blog! Of course, I'm 24, but I've read it since I was 22 :). I'm a big fan...
I took both those pictures... yes its true... and Im in both of them. bask in my glow, in my glow, my glow (echo fades into the distance)
Cindy,
Yeah, it's hard to get a bad picture of them -- even when they're displaying their true inner selves... :)
Greg,
We had a lot of fun with Mark & Terri while we were there. They're an awesome couple, and we also met some of the new staff who will be joining them this fall -- lookin' good!
Anonymous son and daughter-formally-know-as-jmca,
Whether I know you or not, it was a fun vacation together, and I'm glad that jmca allows us to bask in her glow, and I promise to not make any mention about weak stomaches and BC Ferry crossings between Bowen Island and the Mainland...
Jonathan,
I stand corrected -- and I'm glad you've found two years' worth of reading worth returning for more.
Just wanted to leave one comment that is not exactly related to the point of this blog. I've been across the world for the summer (as often happens, I am a fellow YWAMer), and am now catching up on what you wrote - I turned 25 while I was gone, but I was reading it before my birthday :) I found your detoxing from church articles while searching blogland last winter/spring, and found them really insightful and encouraging. It led me to your blog - and I realized I had actually met you, briefly. The short meeting left an impression that has given a lot of crediblity as I continue to read your blog! Thanks for sharing your thoughts and journey.
